He arrived in Naples in the 80\u2019s and he was known for his posters representing Christs, Madonnas, and Saints &#8211; inspired by the paintings of Caravaggio, Mattia Preti, Massimo Stanzione and Luca Giordano \u2013 posted at night on the walls of the old town buildings, in the streets, in the beating heart of the urban city. Like few others he forged an epidermal relationship with the city, seeking its baroque spirit .Although his works were ephemeral, he left a memorable mark among the Neapolitans. Perhaps because Pignon has been able to express himself through the &#8220;the rhetoric of the marvellous&#8221; that in Naples, more than anywhere else, has founded its communication.
