His parents, both farmers, they took him from\nan early age to work in the fields, where many arms were needed. In 1959 he\nmoved for 13 years to Germany, in Stuttgart, in search of fortune and a more\ncomfortable life: working in the fields was not enough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, at 84, he has returned to\nwork the land in his native town: he tends to his garden where tomatoes\nnaturally grow. He also grows eggplants, peppers, leafy greens, and he ,collects\nolives and he produces produces his own olive oil, which is a food more than a\nsimple seasoning for the people of Cilento. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<font size=\"2px\">Interview by: Rossella Galletti\n<br>Video by: Rossella Galletti and Antonio Puzzi.
