In this video, we take you to Altamura, in the heart of Puglia, to get a close-up look at one of the most authentic symbols of Italian gastronomic tradition: Altamura DOP Bread. We had the pleasure of interviewing Giuseppe Di Gesu, who told us not only the secrets of producing Altamura Bread but also the emotions, sacrifices, and pride that lie behind every single loaf. Tradition adapts but does not surrender: today’s Altamura Bread still speaks the language of its ancestors. From the choice of durum wheat to natural leavening, childhood memories emerge, telling a story of love for one’s land and a profession that is above all an art.
