Vincenzo Durazzo, born in Castellabate on November 18, 1954, is the owner of the K restaurant in San Marco di Castellabate.
The K restaurant is dedicated to Ancel Keys, the man of the Mediterranean Diet, the lord of the K-ration during the Second World War.
That of the K restaurant is a genuine cuisine, based on fresh and seasonal products. Anchovies are one of the ingredients that can not be missing because they are the symbol of the area and its tradition. When Vincenzo was a kid, Castellabate’s fleet of cianciole was known throughout Italy, and they flocked there from every corner of the country to buy anchovies; since there were plenty of them, he always managed to get a fair amount to take to the countryside and exchange for the farmers’ fresh seasonal produce. Extra virgin olive oil, oily fish, legumes, and pasta, basic foods of the Mediterranean diet, are also the foundations of the cuisine of his restaurant, typical and at the same time open to innovation.
