The society “Fabbriche Riunite Torrone di Benevento” was founded in January 1908 for the purpose of“mastri torronai” that worked on the Sannio territory.
The idea found two major obstacles: two wars and the flood of 1949 that brought extensive damage to the society. The safety arrived thanks to Mario Rosa and his dream.
Mario Rosa was born on 5 May 1905 in San Leucio del Sannio (BN). The last of 13 brother when he have only 12 years old he went to Benevento for work. He learned the secret of nougat and in the 1939 he started a small activity. When he have 50 years old Mario Rosa decided to save the society “Fabbriche Riunite Torrone di Benevento”.
Mario Rosa, single-member, with imagination, sacrifice and passion relieved the fortunes of the company and realized his dream. “Fabbriche Riunite Torrone di Benevento” now includes:
- 8 partners, all offspring of Mario Rosa;
- 60 peoples that works in two division: industry and commercial.
