The “Trattoria Nunzia” is located in the historical centre of Benevento. It was set up in the Thirties as a wine shop to respect Nazzaro’s wishes, the grandfather of Annunziata, who runs the place today.
It is Nunzia’s mother the one who turned the place into a real trattoria only after the war.
Nunzia – who is keeping her family’s memories, which have been lasting for the past four generations – is well known thanks to the “scarpariello”, her main course, which is born from by the mixing of the Samnite culture and the Neapolitan one.
She welcomes people in her little restaurant by telling them the secrets of good food, memories of a poor and healthy cooking. She also describes the typical dishes of Benevento, a place still full of traditions.
Nunzia’s little restaurant has become the meeting point for all the artists who are present to the theatrical show “Benevento Città Spettacolo” such as Vittorio Gasman, Renato Zero, Lello Giulivo.
