Luigi Frusciante is full Professor of Agricultural Genetics at the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Naples Federico II . He has authored more than 190 scientific publications . With his research group has contributed to the sequencing of the tomato genome; with this discovery he and his colleagues earned the cover of “Nature” in 2012. Through anecdotes and fascinating stories, he tells us of his food memories and his relationship with the territory. His words reveal the passion for scientific research and underline the importance of biodiversity and the need to preserve it.
