Raffaele Morlando, manager of the Locanda del Cerriglio in Naples, tells us the long history of his restaurant, requented over the centuries by famous historical figures, including Michelangelo Merisi (Caravaggio),
Basile, Cortese and Boccaccio. The inn, opened for the first time in 1288, became very famous above all for the Cerriglio fountain, which represented one of the only five sources of good, drinkable water in Naples in 1600. The place was closed in 1800, becoming a deposit until 2014, the year in which it was reopened by the Follari spouses, currently partners of the new owner. Raffaele Morlando also introduces us to the new Locanda del Cerriglio, modern but at the same time linked to Neapolitan tradition, as can also be seen from the menu full of typical Neapolitan dishes.
